We're now at the last week of the holy month of Ramadhan and our fellow Muslim friends has been fasting for almost a month already, how fast time flies! I bet some of you have been hopping around to try on "buka puasa" menu offered by several places too! It was quite sometime that I visited Cinnamon Coffee House of One World Hotel to try on their Ramadhan buffet menu and it seems that they never failed to serves good delish foods for us!
This time around Cinnamon Coffee House offers such a wide array of glorious traditional Malay specialties that putting together a melting pot of local and international dishes which have carved a place in our hearts as perennial favorites. With the theme of Warisan Bonda, the dishes certainly means something and allow the guests to enjoy savoring mom's home-cooked recipes.
Starting your buffet at Salad corner where you can make your own Rojak Buah or Caesar Salad, as well as garden greens with selection of dressings! There's various selections of appetizers that you could choose from Tempeh Ikan Bilis Berlada, Paru Goreng, Ikan Masin Talang, Acar Buah, Acar Rampai, Ikan Masin Sepat, Jeruk Kedondong, Jeruk Mangga Muda, Jeruk Pala, Lemang, Ketupat Palas, Nasi Himpit and Serunding Ayam. It certainly open up your appetite with all this goodness! What's more? There also few types of Sambals for you to go with all the dishes such as Sambal Tempoyak, Sambal Budu, Sambal Belacan, Sambal Cincaluk, Sambal Hijau, Sambal Mangga Pedas and more.
Other than that, you could also enjoy their homemade fusion bread counter for their Serunding Bread, Morocco Bread, Spice Zatar Bread. Kurma Roll, Grissini Stick and Lavash. Kerabu lovers could enjoy their selection of kerabu at Aneka Kerabu Station which serving Urap Pegagap Sari, Kerabu Kaki Ayam, Kerabu Udang with Glass Noodel, Kerabu Mangga Bunga Kantan and Kerabu Taugeh Bercil. Unlike ordinary soup counter, Cinnamon Coffee House serves Soup Ekor Cendawan Hitam Bersuhun, Seafood Tom Yam Soup, Chicken Rawa Rassenm and Vandalia Cream Onion Soup.
One of the must try would be the Bubur Lambuk! I love it so much for it served with a variety of condiment. There's also stalls serving Roti John, Dim Sum, Malaysian Hawker Fare, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Young Tau Foo, Popiah Basah, Roti Canai, Murtabak and Middle East Specialties that gave you more choices of dishes to savor! Did I mention about their Roast New Zealand Whole Lamb Malay style tasted really good especially with their special sauces?
The main course for this year also quite promising for they serves Nasi Tumis Bertahta Jagun, Kari Kepala Ikan Mamak, Udang Tiga Rasa, Ketam Goreng Berlada, Siput Sedut Masak Cili Padi, Pucuk Ubi Gulai Tempoyak, Sotong Kari Kandar, Braised Hong Kong Kai Lan Vegetable with Mushroom and Slice Abalone and Braised Vegetables with Fish Maw and Sea Cucumber. To enjoy this with hot steamed rice is truly enjoyable I must say!
Apart from all the above, Japanese food lovers could have their cravings fix at Japanese counter to enjoy their tempura delights, sushi and sashimi. To complete your meals with their scrumptious desserts would be the happy ending for the night! Yours truly enjoy indulged myself with their wide selection of desserts, ice creams, tropical fresh fruits, endless choice of Malay Kuih and also their chocolate fountain with assorted fresh fruits and marshmallow!
