Am kinda miss my Hong Kong trip and I remember we had some difficulties in finding particular restaurant or coffee shop in Hong Kong too. One of them was this Kau Kee Restaurant (九記牛腩) that located at Gough Street, Sheung Wan. It was kinda confusing with the maps from the travel guide book and somehow messed up the directions.
I remember that was our very first dinner at Hong Kong and we would like to try one of the highly recommended foods in Hong Kong. Kau Kee Restaurant is a noodle shop with over ninety years of history and noted for creating beef brisket noodles in clear soup. We didn't get to enter the moment we arrived but had to wait for empty table and I also remember where's this lady got scolded when entered right away. The way they talked to each other was rude, very rude. ( ﾟдﾟ)
When we were informed there's available seats (not table) and I was totally surprised with the amount of crowds inside there. It was really crowded and packed. Then we realised we're actually sharing table with another couple. Well, it was still a relief for us as we've been walking for the whole day and too hungry to even bother about it.

The beef brisket were soft and tender, the way we liked it. The curry was fragrant and aromatic too! I enjoyed my beef brisket noodle in clear broth and thought it was flavourful too. That was really satisfying dinner for the first night. Before we even finish up our very last sip of the drinks, the waiter collected all our bowls, hinting us to leave...now. (´･_･`)
