So... After I actually moved from Subang Jaya to Petaling Jaya area, I realized that Subang residents actually are so LUCKY! So lucky to have nice food outlets around them! It's probably due to the terrible jam and hard-to-find-parking situation at USJ Taipan area that I actually didn't bother to look out for any nice cafes or hidden gems at there, I am pretty ashamed to tell everyone that I was staying right opposite USJ Taipan for almost 4 years! Like, seriously?! (´Ð”｀)

The interior
Some of us were wondering about the name of the shop, and it turned out the founder's father is a carpenter! I thought it's actually cute to have such lovely name! And, almost every furnitures in the shop are made by her father! It's amazing, really. The Carpenter's Daughter sets to provide a place to celebrate and share the love for artisan bread and wholesome food that is carefully prepared by their passionate bakers and chef. They uses organic and natural ingredients sourced whenever possible for their wholesome foods.
In conjunction with their upcoming 4th anniversary in August, The Carpenter's Daughter has launched a new menu! Let's check some of them out, shall we? (‘▿’ʃʃ
Classic French Toast -RM15.90
The Classic Buttery French Toast is served with organic agave, butter, jam, and baked apple with cinnamon. I really love how fluffy and soft the french toasts were. And, I am really love the way they served it that allow you to enjoy your french toast in different ways!
Bread Platter -RM20.90
This gotta be one of the best Bread Platter that I've ever had! It is an assortment of bread, served with toasted nuts, french soft cheese and truffle butter. It comes with a bowl of soup of your choice too! I got myself the hearty bowl of mushroom soup that made from four type of mushrooms! You can either spread the french soft cheese onto your bread and topped it with the toasted nuts, or just simply dip it into the soup of your choice, either way, they are delicious! I love all of the breads, but my personal favorite is sourdough! Super yums! (๑╹Ú¡╹)╭ ～ ♡
Roasted Garlic Shrimp Dip -RM24.90
Another favorite dish of mine - Roasted Garlic Shrimp Dip. No one can resist the awesome combination of aromatic garlic, herb and hint of chilli infused with shrimp and scallop dip! Of course, not to forget the lovely Italian square bread too!
Yogurt Parfait & More -RM23.90
For those who fancy a healthier brunch without strict diet, do yourself a favor by ordering this - Yogurt Parfait & More - for yourself. You won't go wrong with a healthy combination of muesli yogurt parfait, quinoa salad, fresh orange juice, salad, mini roll with tuna and also pastry of the day.
Classic Aglio Olio -RM15.90
(Add RM7 for smoked duck)
Buckwheat Assam Laksa -RM16.90
For the mains, we get to try the Classic Aglio Olio with Smoked Duck and Buckwheat Assam Laksa. Aglio Olio may sounds familiar to you, but not the Buckwheat Assam Laksa. We were all surprised with this particular dish, not going to lie to you, it certainly has an interesting flavor in it. Who would have thought the unique combination of buckwheat noodles turns out pretty well with the rich fish broth soup? Try it yourself to experience the unique flavor of it!
Afternoon Tea for 2 -RM42.90

Last but not least, can we talk about the Afternoon Tea for 2?! Because everything that served in this set were so yummy, especially the lemon meringue! Whether you're bringing your partner, parents or siblings, you both can indulge in The Carpenter's Daughter's two tier afternoon tea set served with a wide selection of Premium Tea from Ronnedfeldt Germany, scone with jam and butter, pastry, carrot cake, sandwiches, lemon meringue and macarons! The lemon meringues were soooo good, sourish but totally yums! (*ËŠૢᵕˋૢ*)
Everything were so good that I know I will definitely go back to enjoy more of their bread platter and lemon meringues! Of course, what you see here are only some of the dishes in the new menu, you have to go and try everything yourself! You will never know when it turn out to be one of your favorite brunch places.
Psst! We also heard that The Carpenter's Daughter is expanding and opening another new store next door that will be serving sinful delights until late at night. ⁽(◍˃̵͈̑á´—˂̵͈̑)⁽
