It's been a while since my last post about food!
When our foodie friend asked us to come and have dinner together at The Eighth Avenue, part of me was YES! while another part of me was asking what are we gonna eat there?
All I know was we are going to enjoy some really yummy fusion food along with a glass or two cocktails for the night.
The Eighth Avenue - a gastro pub located in Publika, with a modern and contemporary interior, it's a place where you and your friends can enjoy favourite alcoholic beverages together with a range of food selection from the menu.
For appetizers, we had five really good ones - Sticky Piggy (RM22.90), Taco Bout It (RM22.90), Lychee Pork Poppers (RM28.90), Braised Pork Cheeks (RM35.90) and Mini Pork Sliders (RM19.90).
My most favourites would be the braised pork cheeks and lychee pork poppers! They were so, so good. The braised pork cheeks - succulent braised pork cheeks prepared in red wine served with truffle potato mash - super good. On the other hand, the lychee pork poppers are basically deep fried lychees stuffed with pork meat has a hint of sweetness from the lychee giving such unique flavour to the pork meat itself, juicy and yums!

Followed by the mains, we were first served with these two huge mains - Beer Marinated Pork Ribs (RM53.90) and Honey Glazed BBQ Pork Ribs (RM49.90).
Both tasted really great and flavourful. I'm not someone who fancy beer, but I find any food marinated with beer tasted really good, including this particular one! The baby back ribs were well marinated with beer and other secret ingredients for 8 hours, roasted to perfection, alongside with jacket potato, onion rings and side of garden salad. The honey glazed bbq pork ribs was really good too, but I personally find it slightly too sweet for my liking; the slightly caramelised sides was yummy, though.
I really love this Chicken Pot Pie (RM25.90)!
This pot pie is made of chicken thigh cooked in cream with mushroom and vegetables, covered with puff pastry and baked till golden crispy brown, served with side of garden salad.
It's creamy, flavourful and perfect for sharing too!

The Karate Piggy Chop (RM44.90) was my least favourite dish of the night.
It was a little too dry for my liking. Tastewise, it was okay.
The Oink Oink Sambal pasta (RM29.90) was good! Pork slices cooked in homemade sambal paste, tossed with your favourite pasta and a dose of cream. If you love pasta and spicy, you would enjoy this unique fusion pasta dish.
If you love pizza and nachos, you can enjoy the best of both worlds by ordering this huge Mission Chilli A-Con-Plished pork pizza (RM26.90) for you and your friends! We totally enjoyed the cheesiness and crunchiness of the nachos as the pizza topping! This is pretty good as beer snacks too! :p
For the sweet endings, we were served with three sinfully delicious desserts - TiraMissYou (RM24.90), Our Very Own Crème Brulee (RM18.90) and Sizzling Brownie Points (RM21.90).
My personal favourite would be the sizzling brownie points - chocolate brownie served on a sizzling hot plate with ice cream and silky chocolate sauce.
It's just too good!
